Sheikh Fayaz highlighted the addition of five new varieties, bringing the total number of tulip varieties to 73, in order to offer a more enchanting experience to visitors.

With approximately 1.7 million tulips anticipated to bloom this season, preparations are underway to ensure a seamless experience for visitors. Additional land has been allocated for a parking lot to accommodate the influx of tourists expected this year.

Acknowledging the Tulip Garden’s inclusion in the World Book of Records as a source of pride for the department and a significant boost to tourism in Jammu and Kashmir, Sheikh Fayaz emphasized the importance of completing various improvement works within the garden.

Furthermore, the Floriculture department has introduced multi-activity equipment for children in seven new parks, bringing the total number of parks with children’s equipment to 14. Director of Floriculture Kashmir, Farooq Ahmad Rather, emphasized the department’s commitment to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for children in the parks, urging officials to closely monitor the equipment to prevent any accidents and ensure prompt replacement of damaged items for the children’s safety.
