The Department of Floriculture has enhanced Srinagar’s Tulip Garden, Asia’s largest, by introducing five new tulip varieties, expanding the total to 73, and increasing the garden’s area. This decision, announced by Commissioner Secretary Sheikh Fayaz Ahmad, aims to attract global tourists.
With 1.7 million tulips expected to bloom, preparations include a new parking lot to accommodate visitors. Recognized by the World Book of Records, the garden boosts J&K’s tourism. Additionally, seven more parks now feature multi-activity equipment for children, ensuring safety and enjoyment under close monitoring.
