Day 1 — Arrival in Srinagar & Sunset Shikara Ride

Your romantic Kashmir holiday begins at Srinagar Airport (SXR). Your dedicated driver collects you and transfers you directly to your heritage houseboat on Dal Lake — already dressed with flowers and the warmth of a Kashmiri Kahwa welcome.

As the light turns golden, your private Shikara is waiting. Glide across the lake at dusk — past floating lotus gardens, the silhouettes of chinar trees on the far bank, and the last light on the Zabarwan hills. This is how your Kashmir love story begins.

Day 2 — Mughal Gardens, Hazratbal & Old Srinagar

Breakfast on the houseboat deck with Dal Lake spread before you. Your private guide and vehicle take you through Srinagar's Mughal legacy — Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi — terraced gardens overlooking Dal Lake built by Mughal emperors for their queens. The geometry and colour feel designed for slow walks together.

Visit Hazratbal Shrine on the lake's northwestern shore, then wind through old Srinagar's lanes — pashmina weavers, paper-maché artisans, walnut wood craftsmen. Dinner back on your houseboat.

Day 3 — Gulmarg: Gondola Above the Snowline

After breakfast, your private vehicle takes you to Gulmarg (56 km, ~90 mins) — the Meadow of Flowers set at 8,700 ft, ringed by Himalayan peaks and, for most of the year, capped in snow. Check into your premium hotel with mountain views.

Your Gondola tickets are pre-booked. Phase 1 to Kongdoori (10,500 ft), Phase 2 to Apharwat Ridge (13,400 ft) — two people, a glass cabin, and a panorama of the Himalayas stretching in every direction. Visit Drung Waterfall and Strawberry Valley in the meadow below before the evening chill sets in.

Day 4 — Pahalgam: Betaab, Aru & Chandanwari

Afternoon: visit Betaab Valley — named after the Bollywood film, pine-lined and cinematic in every direction. Continue to Aru Valley, quieter and wilder, with streams you can actually sit beside. Optional: the scenic drive to Chandanwari, where the valley narrows to a gorge of fir trees and cold air. Evening: Lidder River promenade together.

Day 5 — Return to Srinagar: Temples, Gardens & Houseboat

After breakfast, check out and drive back to Srinagar (~3 hrs). On the way, your guide takes you to the Shankaracharya Temple — a 9th-century Hindu shrine on the summit of Shankaracharya Hill with a 360° panorama of Srinagar, Dal Lake, and the surrounding mountain ring. This is one of the finest views in the entire valley.

Stroll through Lal Chowk and Badam Wari Park — the almond garden that blooms pink in February — before returning to check back into your houseboat for a final sunset Shikara ride on Dal Lake.

Day 6 — Pahalgam Leisure: Nature, Horses & Spa

A day that belongs entirely to you. Pahalgam's pace is its own form of romance — waking to the sound of the Lidder, mist-wrapped forests, mountains close enough to feel like walls around a private world.

Options on request: a nature walk through silver fir forest along the Lidder River, a horseback ride into the Baisaran meadows above town (the "mini Switzerland" of Kashmir), optional white-water rafting on Grade II–III rapids, or a couple spa treatment at your resort. Or simply the balcony, a book, the river, and nowhere to be.

Your final evening on Dal Lake. Watch the light change on the mountains from your houseboat deck over dinner, and let Kashmir take its time saying goodbye.

Day 8 — Departure from Srinagar

One last breakfast on the houseboat as morning light fills Dal Lake. Check out, collect your memories and your luggage, and your private vehicle transfers you to Srinagar Airport (SXR), timed to your departure flight.

For late-morning flights, your guide can arrange a final stop at Pari Mahal — the 17th-century terraced Sufi garden above Dal Lake that most tourists never make it to — before the airport run.
