Day 1 — Srinagar Arrival & Dal Lake Shikara Ride
Arrive at Srinagar Airport (SXR). Your dedicated driver meets you at arrivals and transfers you to your 4-star hotel — no shared transport, no confusion. Check in and freshen up.
Evening: your private Shikara is ready. Glide across Dal Lake past Char Chinar island and the floating vegetable market as the Zabarwan hills turn gold. Explore local markets nearby. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 2 — Gulmarg: Gondola to Apharwat Peak
After breakfast, your private vehicle departs for Gulmarg (56 km, ~90 mins). Check into your hotel. Your Gondola tickets are pre-booked — Phase 1 to Kongdoori (10,500 ft) and Phase 2 to Apharwat Ridge (13,400 ft) — a sweeping panorama above the snowline.
After the Gondola, visit St. Mary's Church and Maharani Temple in the Meadow of Flowers. In winter months, optional skiing on Apharwat's slopes. Dinner at your Gulmarg hotel.

Day 3 — Gulmarg to Pahalgam via Awantipora
After breakfast, check out and drive to Pahalgam (130 km, ~3 hrs). En route, stop at the Awantipora Ruins — a 9th-century Pratihara temple complex on the banks of the Jhelum, one of Kashmir's finest archaeological sites and rarely seen by tourists in a rush.
Arrive in Pahalgam, check into your resort. Evening stroll along the Lidder River promenade as the mountains reflect in the water.

Day 4 — Pahalgam: Betaab, Aru & Chandanwari Valleys
A full day in Pahalgam's surrounding valleys. Start with Betaab Valley — a dense pine-and-meadow corridor made famous by Bollywood. Continue to Aru Valley, quieter and higher, used as the Kolahoi Glacier trek base.
Optional afternoon: pony ride or hike to Baisaran Valley (the "mini Switzerland of Kashmir"), white-water rafting on the Lidder River, or the scenic drive to Chandanwari — the starting point of the annual Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage.

Day 5 — Pahalgam to Srinagar: Gardens, Shrines & Markets
After breakfast, check out and drive back to Srinagar. En route, visit the Indira Gandhi Tulip Garden — Asia's largest tulip garden by terrace, best during April bloom but beautiful in all seasons with its Mughal layout and Dal Lake views.
Visit Hazratbal Shrine on the northwestern shore of Dal Lake. Afternoon: shop at Lal Chowk and Polo View Market — the best places for pashmina, walnuts, saffron, and papier-mâché craft directly from artisans.

Day 6 — Day Trip to Doodhpathri
After breakfast, drive to Doodhpathri — the "Valley of Milk" — 42 km west of Srinagar. Named for its streams that flow white over limestone, this high-altitude meadow at 8,500 ft sits at the edge of Gulmarg range and sees a fraction of the tourist traffic of its more famous neighbours.
Explore pine forests, the Shaliganga River, and wildflower meadows on foot or pony. Pack a picnic lunch here — the silence and the scenery are the point. Return to Srinagar by evening.

Day 7 — Day Trip to Yusmarg & Nilnag Lake
After breakfast, drive to Yusmarg (47 km southwest of Srinagar) — a meadow at 7,800 ft ringed by glaciated peaks, barely reached by the typical tourist itinerary. In spring, the grassland runs with wildflowers; in summer, it is one of the greenest spots in the entire valley.
Trek or take a pony ride to Nilnag Lake — a glacial lake above Yusmarg surrounded by deodars. Packed lunch in the meadow. Return to Srinagar by evening.

Day 8 — Sonamarg: Thajiwas Glacier & Baltal Valley
After breakfast, drive northeast to Sonamarg (87 km, ~2.5 hrs) — the "Meadow of Gold" at 8,960 ft, where the Sindh River flows through a wide glaciated valley flanked by 15,000 ft peaks. This is where Kashmir's landscape shifts from green to alpine-raw.
Trek or take a pony to Thajiwas Glacier — one of the most accessible glaciers in the Western Himalayas and a rare full-glacier experience without technical climbing. Explore Baltal Valley, the base point for the Amarnath trek route. Lunch at Sonamarg.

Day 9 — Sonamarg to Srinagar & Nigeen Lake Houseboat
After breakfast, return to Srinagar (~2.5 hrs). Check into your heritage houseboat on Nigeen Lake — the quieter, more private sister lake to Dal. Nigeen sits on the western edge of Dal's water system, ringed by poplars and willow trees, with fewer boats and more stillness.
Afternoon: a leisurely Shikara ride on Nigeen Lake at your own pace. Sunset from your houseboat deck — perhaps the best view in the entire itinerary. Visit Nigeen Lake surroundings on foot.

Day 10 — Departure from Srinagar
Breakfast on the houseboat as morning light moves across Nigeen Lake. Check out and transfer to Srinagar Airport (SXR) in your private vehicle, timed to your departure flight.
For late-morning departures, a final optional loop through the Mughal Gardens or a last cup of kehwa at a Srinagar café can be arranged before the airport run.
