JetBlue Airways is a major American low-cost airline and the seventh largest airline in North America by passenger traffic.

Jetblue airline tickets are comparatively cheaper than the rest. Jetblue airline flights represent the travel budget in the United States. JetBlue was founded with a large sum of money, new planes and highly qualified personnel in key positions. Customers flocked to avoid high fares from major airlines and frequent delays, and it grew rapidly.

Jet Blue Airways Founder

Jetblue Airline was founded by David Neeleman. His entrepreneurial journey began with Moris Air and he sold it to Southwest Airline in 1993. In 1995, he founded Canadian Airlines known as WestJet Airlines.

At a press conference in mid-July 1999, “Fresh Air” was given a new name: JetBlue Airways. Neeleman’s ambitious rallying cry was, “We’re trying to bring civilization back to air travel.” As if that wasn’t enough, JetBlue planned to slash other airlines’ fares by an average of 65 percent. JetBlue said its main goal, like Southwest’s, is to stimulate air traffic rather than steal current passengers. Jetblue Airlines flights thus became an instant brand within budget travel.

JetBlue first took off in early 2000, with just two newly leased Airbus A320s. On February 11, service began between New York and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. One-way advance ticket fare was $79. Six days later, the company began providing round-trip service to Buffalo for $49.
